A man who carried out an unprovoked attack at a Blackpool nightclub before launching himself at doormen outside is starting an 11-month jail term.
Joey Hoban reacted after spotting someone in the foyer of Club Sanuk – the same man he had had a disagreement with the day before, Preston Crown Court heard.
Hoban, 25, of Rectory Road, Blackpool, punched and kicked his victim.
He had pleaded guilty to offences of affray and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The victim suffered a black eye in the attack in the early hours of March 17.
Paul Brookwell, prosecuting, suggested after noticing the man, Hoban immediately started throwing punches at him. He continued to punch out, after the other man ended up on the floor. He also kicked him.
Paul Humphries, defending, said the offences had not been pre-meditated.
Both Hoban and the victim used the same gym and there had been a disagreement between them the day before, he added.
