A man accused of kidnap, false imprisonment and robbery at Blackpool has made his first appearance at court.
Mark Scott, a 43-year-old joiner, of East Millwood Road, Speke, Liverpool, is charged with kidnapping a man from his home in Walney Place, Grange Park, on September 7 last year.
He is also accused of imprisoning the man’s girlfriend in their home and robbing her of cash and an iPhone.
Pam Smith, prosecuting, asked for the case to go to crown court.
Scott did not indicate any pleas to the charges.
Scott was bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on July 3 by District Judge James Hatton sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.
He must not contact the complainants or enter Blackpool and must live at his given address as conditions of his bail.
