A man spent last night in hospital after being stabbed following an argument.
The victim was stabbed in the abdomen outside a home on Haig Road, South Shore, and was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
Two men, who police say were known to each other, allegedly got into a fight inside a flat before it spilled out into the street at around 10am yesterday.
Police say the victim, who is from Blackpool, received serious injuries but they are not thought to be life-threatening.
Det Sgt Stuart Reed said: “Two people were involved in an argument and a local man was stabbed in the abdomen.
“He was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital where he remained last night for observation.
“We do not think his injuries are life-threatening at this time.”
A 57-year-old man from Blackpool was due in court today charged with affray and possession of a knife or sharp bladed article in public.
Police are not seeking any witnesses.
