Man in court over burger

A man accused of assaulting his girlfriend by throwing a burger which hit her has made his first appearance at court.

Paul Westby, 28, of Clegg Street, Kirkham, is also charged with damaging a wall at his girlfriend’s home by throwing a vacuum cleaner at it and damaging the fridge by punching it.

Westby was bailed by District Judge John Maxwell sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.
