A man has been banned from the roof of every hotel in the country by a court.
David McGreavey was also barred from the walls of hotels by magistrates at Blackpool as terms of his bail.
The court heard McGreavey, 24, of Derby Road, Blackpool had been arrested by police with a 20-foot rope trying to gain entry to the Hilton Hotel, based on the resort’s North Shore.
McGreavey denied going equipped for burglary and magistrates were told by prosecutor Alison Quanbrough that he had told police he was on a “love mission”.
She agreed to defence lawyer Patrick Nelligan’s application for an adjournment.
He told the magistrates court: “My client says he was trying to make a dramatic entrance at the hotel where his girlfriend works.
“I wish to contact her and ask her about what happened.”
