A MAN stopped in the street was found to be carrying 11 grams of the street drug ‘bubble’ in a bag he had.

Peter Raglan, 26, of Radcliffe Road, Fleetwood, pleaded guilty to possessing mephedrone.

He was fined £75 with £40 costs and ordered to pay £15 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.

Prosecutor, Adrian Hollamby, said police saw Raglan, who was carrying a purple-coloured bag, walking along Ashfield Road, Bisham, on July 7 at 1.20am with two other men.

On being told he was going to be searched, Raglan told police his bag contained amphetamine, for which he had paid £30. The drug was sent for forensic analysis and found to be mephedrone – known as bubble.

Patrick Nelligan, defending, said his client had mental health problems and was considering going back into a psychiatric unit.
