A bare-chested man who shouted and swore at police in the street then started to headbutt a rubbish bin, a court was told.

David Eichner was arrested after his bizarre behaviour on Caunce Street, Blackpool magistrates heard.

Eichner, 23, of Braithwaite Street, Blackpool, admitted being drunk and disorderly and breaching the terms of his bail imposed for an alleged offence of taking a vehicle with the owner’s consent.

David Charnley, defending, said Eichner had mental health issues.

He added: “He lives at his mother’s home in Blackpool and she will have him back if there is a curfew imposed on him so he does not come in at all hours.”

Eichner was given a curfew from 9pm to 6am.

He was fined £75 and ordered to pay the victim’s surcharge of £65.
