A kitchen fitter has appeared in court charged with breaking a restraining order.
The order had been imposed to protect the woman, John Wignall’s ex-partner, from being harassed by the 50-year-old of Claremont Road, Blackpool.
But Blackpool Magistrates heard she now wanted the order removing.
Wignall was fined £300 and ordered to pay £115 costs after he admitted breaching the order.
The pair went out as a couple and stayed at two different hotels over a weekend.
But during a police welfare visit to the woman’s home the officer found out Wignall was living there.
Allan Cobain, defending, said: “It was sheer foolishness by this man breaking the order. But she wanted him to and now wants the order removing.”
