A man has been charged with the murder of Blackpool man Frank Chivers.
Sean Conlon, 43, of no fixed address, will appear before Blackpool magistrates following the death of Frank Chivers last Sunday.
Mr Chivers, 49, died after collapsing in his flat at Walter Robinson Court, in Layton.
A murder investigation was launched after police said he had allegedly been assaulted shortly before his death.
A police spokesman confirmed: “Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service detectives investigating the death of Frank Chivers at Blackpool have charged a man with murder.”
Carli Turner, 28, of Camden Road, Layton, has been charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice and is due to appear before magistrates today.
Two other local women aged 32 and 43 arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice have been released without charge.
Mr Chivers’ daughter Paige disappeared aged 15 in August 2007. Despite a massive police investigation the former Montgomery High School pupil has never been found.
Her disappearance is being treated as a murder investigation and that probe is still ongoing.
Mr Chivers’ family last week told of their devastation at his death, saying he died heartbroken after never finding out what had happened to his daughter.
