A man charged with making and possessing child pornography – some allegedly at the worst level-will have his case heard at Preston Crown Court.

Christopher Nixon, 60, faces 24 charges and District Judge Jeff Brailsford ruled at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court that they must be heard at Preston Crown Court.

He is charged with possessing more than 400 images of children and faces four allegations of making images of children.

Nixon of Edmonton Place, Blackpool,will appear at the higher court on April 10.

He was bailed on condition he allows police to monitor any internet access he may use.
