A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of arson following a blaze in a block of flats.
Police said the 21-year-old was being questioned by officers investigating what caused the fire on High Street on Sunday night.
Firefighters were called to the address at around 11.44pm after reports people may have been trapped in the building.
Three men, all in their 20s, were able to escape the ground and first floors flats unharmed after fire alarms alerted them to the blaze.
It is believed the fire started in a pair of curtains in the hallway of the second floor of the building.
A joint police and fire service investigation was launched.
