A man has admitted cruelty to a dog that was found dead at his home.
Jordan Blenkinship, 22, formerly of Louise Street, Blackpool, now living at Wall Street, North Shore, pleaded guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to a dog.
The emaciated body of the male Staffordshire Bull Terrier, called Ziggy, was found in the kitchen of Blenkinship’s Louise Street home.
Jonathan Fail, prosecuting for the RSPCA, said the offence took place between February 5 and December 17 last year.
Brett Chappell, defending, asked for reports on his client.
Blenkinship’s case was adjourned for pre-sentence reports and he was warned he may be jailed by Blackpool magistrates.
