A MAN shook a baby he was looking after and then tossed him on to a settee.
Shaun Higham became annoyed because the three-month-old baby boy would not drink his bottle of milk.
Higham, 20, of St Albans Road, Blackpool, admitted ill-treating a child.
He was bailed to March 20 for pre-sentence reports, with all options including custody to be considered by Blackpool magistrates.
Adrian Hollamby, prosecuting, said between January 2 and 3 Higham was looking after the baby.
The baby was heard crying and Higham admitted he had shaken him because he would not take his milk. He then tossed the baby on to a sofa.
The baby was examined at hospital and found to be uninjured.
Michael Woosnam, defending, said his client had admitted holding the baby under the armpit and shaking him out of frustration, but the baby was not injured.
