A pub licensee lost her job after becoming annoyed and kicking a woman’s car during a row, a court heard.

Suzanne Greaves lost her temper after her daughter was late being dropped off by her former boyfriend’s new partner.

Greaves, 28, formerly of Oak Street, Fleetwood, now living at St John Street, Thornton, pleaded guilty to causing damage.

She was given a 12 months conditional discharge and
ordered to pay £114 compensation with £50 costs plus £15 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.

Pam Smith, prosecuting, said the incident happened on November 23 last year.

Greaves’s ex’s new girlfriend was late dropping off the defendant’s daughter, as they had been to a christening.

The girlfriend saw Greaves questioning her daughter as to why she was late.

She became angry about this and flicked a V-sign at Greaves, who flicked one back and then kicked her car.

Brett Chappell, defending, said his client, who had no previous convictions, had been a pub licensee at the time, but lost her job because of the incident.

After the V-sign was flicked at her Greaves lost her self-control.

She behaved in an out-of-character manner and was remorseful.
