A BLACKPOOL woman snapped when she thought her partner had gone back to his wife.
Beverley Ainsworth went to the victim’s house and threw rocks at the lounge and front door windows, smashing them.
Police were called and the 58-year-old, of Knowle Avenue, North Shore, was charged with criminal damage of £1,030.
Pam Smith, prosecuting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court, said the defendant had formed a relationship with a scaffolder. They moved in together. He was still married with two children.
Ainsworth told police on the night of the offence she knew he had been drinking and went to look for him. She went to his wife’s house and saw his car.
She then saw a bedroom light was on and thought they were together. She lost her temper and started to throw rocks at the windows.
Steven Prew, defending, said his client had been driven to the edge by his behaviour as he often worked away before coming back to the home they shared, getting drunk and gambling.
Magistrates gave her a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered her to pay £250 compensation for the windows.
