A MAN who murdered a St Annes baker has been sentenced to life behind bars.
Preston Crown Court heard how Jason Brookes, 23, of Elizabeth Court, Layton, viciously attacked father-of-two Andrew Boardman leaving him with serious head injuries.
The 53-year-old died shortly after the assault in the flat on Glen Eldon Road, St Annes, on June 30.
Brookes was today sentenced to life in prison and must serve a minimum of 18 years and six months behind bars before he is eligible for release.
