A man was found with four bags of drugs after celebrating a friend’s graduation.
Ashley Herrington, 25, of Sutherland Road, North Shore, admitted possession of cocaine. He was put on six months supervision and fined £40 with £40 costs plus £60 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.
Pam Smith, prosecuting, said there was an incident near the Chaos Bar and Herrington was searched on July 11. Four small snap bags of cocaine were found on him and Herrington told officers: “It’s just a bit if sniff”.
He added that a friend had bought the drug as he had just graduated and offered it to him.
Herrington apologised and said he only came to the attention of the police because there was a fight outside the Chaos Bar in which he was hit first.
