POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two wooden tribal masks were stolen from a garage in Cleveleys.

The thieves managed to get into a garage adjoining a house on West Drive through an insecure door.

They stole two wooden tribal masks, an African rug, an iPod Nano music player and a guitar.

Police today released photographs of the masks taken during the raid, which happened sometime between 1am and 8.30am on January 26.

PC Sharon Hill said: “If anybody has any information about this burglary or the location of these items I would ask them to contact police.”
