Two men have appeared in court accused of trying to rob a seafront hotel.
Karol Lipski, 23, of Dutton Road, and Adrian Koscielski, 21, of Sterling Road, were charged with attempted robbery and possession of an offensive weapon after the incident last month.
It is alleged two men entered the Lyndene Hotel, on the Promenade, on September 3 intending to steal from the premises, but left empty handed after being challenged.
The pair were arrested and charged by police following a public appeal earlier this month.
No pleas were entered when they made their first court appearance at Blackpool Magistrates Court on Monday.
Lipski and Koscielski were remanded in custody until October 29, when they are due to appear at Preston Crown Court.
