A thug who left a trail of destruction down Blackpool’s Whitegate Drive after kicking in doors and throwing a breeze block at a parked truck is being hunted by police.

The yob’s vandalism rampage has caused hundreds of pounds of damage and officers now hope The Gazette’s readers can help bring him to justice.

Bosses at Michael’s Indian Restaurant were left counting the cost after glass doors were kicked right off their hinges.

The shocking camera footage was released online by the popular eatery, and shared by Blackpool Police.

It is thought the vandal kicked the restaurant’s doors before staggering off towards E-Cigs, a small retailer opposite the Walk-In Centre, which police say suffered damage to its front shop window.

And a nearby Nissan Cabstar truck had its front windscreen damaged and its front paneling cracked after a breeze block was taken from a garden and launched at it, a spokeswoman added.

I urge anyone with information about who is responsible to contact police directly on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111

Pictures taken at Michael’s, which also has a restaurant in Thornton and a takeaway in Marton, show shattered glass lying across the floor and crumbled door hinges lying on the floor.

Officers are now appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

The man they want to speak to is described as white, slim, around 5ft8ins tall and wearing a white jumper, went on his rampage between 3am and 5.45am last Friday, police said.

A police spokeswoman said: “I urge anyone with information about who is responsible to contact police directly on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
