A teenage girl has been sexually assaulted in Blackpool.
The 15-year-old was walking along East Park Drive when she was approached by a man who touched her inappropriately.
The incident happened at around 9.45pm on Saturday November 9, though police only released the information on Friday afternoon.
Detectives say after touching his victim the man asked if he could walk her home. When the girl called the police the man ran away.
Det Con Kirsty Taylor said: “This has clearly left the young girl shaken and we are very keen to trace the person responsible.
“I would appeal to anybody with any information or to anyone who may have witnessed anything to contact police.”
The man is described as white, in his late 30s to early 40s and around 6ft 2in tall. He is of slim build with an oval shaped face.
At the time he was wearing a white jacket with the word ‘Raymond’ on it, a checked shirt, pale blue jeans and he called himself Peter.
