Two furniture stores targeted by distraction burglars have asked for help to catch them.
Paul James Furniture, on Squires Gate Lane, and Febland Furniture, on Ashworth Road, Mereside, have fallen victim in the last six months.
Now Paul James has released CCTV footage of the gang in a bid to save other businesses from being fleeced.
A gang of four people distracted staff while one stole an iPhone from the shop’s office.
Shop manager Peter Burgeen said: “It seems to be an ongoing thing and it looks like it’s an organised crime ring.
“It was just blatant and unbelievable.”
The incident took place on September 7.
Febland Furniture was also raided by a gang of three women and two men around six months ago.
In this instance, a three foot porcelain stand was stolen while a salesman was distracted by some of the gang asking the prices of various items.”
Mark Shuttleworth, sales assistant at Febland, said: “I couldn’t believe it to be honest.
“I couldn’t believe the cheek of them to actually carry it out of the shop too.”
A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: “The CCTV has been distributed across our divisions to see if anyone recognises the gang.”
