The hunt for a sex attacker has been stepped up after police released a new image of the suspect.
Detectives are re-appealing for information and have released an image of a wanted man after a schoolgirl was sexually assaulted near Stanley Park.
The attack happened at around 9.45pm on November 9.
Police have now created a computer-generated image of a man they want to speak to.
The 15-year-old victim was walking along East Park Drive when she was approached by a man.
The man touched the teenager inappropriately and asked if he could walk her home at which point she called the police and the man ran away.
The attacker is described as white, in his late 30s early 40s, around 6ft 2ins tall, of slim build with an oval shaped face.
At the time, he was wearing a white jacket with the word ‘Raymond’ on it, a checked shirt and pale blue jeans.
Det Con Kirsty Taylor, of Blackpool Police, said: “This understandably left the girl shaken and we are very keen to trace the person responsible.
“I would appeal to anybody with any information or to anyone who may have witnessed anything to contact police.
“Similarly, if anyone recognises the man in the evofit image then I would ask them to get in touch.”
Anyone with any information about this incident should contact Lancashire Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
