Police are today making a fresh appeal for information following a serious assault in Blackpool earlier this year.
During the attack on January 6, a 30-year-old man from the town was punched and knocked unconscious.
While he lay on the floor, the men began kicking him in the head.
The incident happened at around 12.15am, when police say the victim was confronted by a group of men outside Roxy’s Bar on Queen Street.
As he tried to move on, the men followed him before launching into the assault, near to the Eatabout takeaway.
After punching him and leaving him unconscious, the men walked away before returning to continue the attack.
Detectives want to speak to a man who captured on CCTV around the time of the incident, and are appealing to anybody with any information to come forward.
Det Con Mark Postlethwaite said: “This was an incredibly nasty and sickening assault which left the man with serious injuries.
“We are very keen to speak with the man captured on CCTV and I would appeal to anybody who thinks they may recognise this person to come forward.”
