POLICE are investigating an attack on a barber shop after a firework was thrown through the building’s letterbox.
Fire crews and police officers were called to the business on St Andrews Road South, St Annes, at 2.30pm on Friday
Nobody was in the building at the time, but the firework scorched the walls and damaged the property’s hallway.
A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: “The owner alerted us to the damage when he found the firework in the back of his shop.
“He was not hurt, but found burn marks in the hallway.
“Anyone with information about this attack should call police on 101.”
