Lancashire police are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of a 44-year-old man who has not been seen for several days.
Douglas George Wilson, from Preston, was receiving treatment at the Royal Blackburn Hospital when he discharged himself. He returned home and was last seen in the Leicester area at around 2pm on March 14.
He is believed to have travelled to the Cambridge area and police are now urging anybody who knows where he is, has heard from him, or has information about his whereabouts to contact them as soon as possible.
PC Darren Bassett, of Preston Police, said: “We are extremely worried about Douglas Wilson and would like to hear from anybody who knows where he is, or who has seen or heard from him.
“Similarly if Douglas himself sees this appeal, we would urge him to get in contact to let us know he is safe.”
Mr Wilson is described as white, of broad build, with auburn hair. He is usually clean-shaven and speaks with a Scottish accent. He has tattoos on his left arm of a swallow carrying mushrooms, a swallow and dots, a tattoo on his right arm of a rabbit with a carrot and on his shoulders he has tattoos of spider webs.
He was last seen wearing a green Adidas hoodie with white stripes on the arms, khaki dungarees, clear-rimmed glasses, green Nike Air Max shoes, a celtic ring in silver and another silver band ring. He is believed to be in possession of a Sony Discman and a brown rucksack.
Anybody with information should contact police on 101, quoting log number 666 of March 16th 2017.
