THE family of murder victim Sasha Marsden, whose burning body was discovered in a Blackpool alleyway, have paid tribute to their “fun-loving girl”
In it, they describe the loss as a gap that can never be filled.
The 16-year-old’s burning body was discovered on Thursday night in an alleyway off Kirby Road in South Shore.
Police have confirmed she died of multiple stab wounds to her head and face.
In a statement, Sasha’s parents Jayne and Gary said: “No words can express how we feel. Our beautiful daughter has been taken from us. She was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, great granddaughter, auntie, niece, cousin and girlfriend.
“She was very much loved and her loss has left a huge gap in all our lives, a gap that can never be filled.”
Sasha’s brothers Mark Brett and Thomas Nicholl, and sisters Katie Brett and Gemma Aitchison have also paid tributes.
Miss Brett said: “She is a gorgeous little lady and knows how to make an impression and when you meet her, you would never forget her.”
Police have been granted extra time to question a 22-year-old man who is in custody on suspicion of Sasha’s murder.
