Former footballer Colin Hendry will return to the dock charged with stalking his ex-girlfriend.
The ex-Blackpool manager and PNE and Blackburn defender is also charged with assaulting her.
Father-of-four Hendry, 49, of Cooper’s Row, Ansdell, will appear before Blackpool Magistrates on May 26.
He faces a charge of breaching a harassment notice forbidding him from stalking the woman.
He is accused of parking in a car outside her Lytham home and sending her text messages.
It is alleged to have taken place between March 1 and April 24.
The assault charge relates to an alleged incident on April 24.
Hendry was charged with the offences at Blackpool Central Police station on Tuesday.
It comes just days after he was banned from driving for 18 months when he was found over the alcohol limit at 1am driving home from Lytham.
