A MAN damaged roof tiles at a hostel after police were called to reports residents were being noisy.

David Bond, 24, of Buchanan Street, Blackpool, admitted causing damage when he appeared before Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.

After the police left the area Bond, who said he had drunk two litres of cider, damaged tiles in the hallway of the hostel.

“I have stopped drinking since then.”

He was ordered to pay £63 compensation, £85 costs and the £15 victims’ surcharge by magistrates.
