A WOMAN was arrested after being found collapsed on the ground in a Lytham street.

Fiona Kirkham then got up and lunged at a police officer before trying to remove some of her clothing.

Kirkham, 31, of Preston Road, Lytham, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly.

She was fined £35 with £85 costs and ordered to pay £20 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.

Tracy Yates, prosecuting, said in the early hours of December 24 police saw Kirkham collapsed in Clifton Street, Lytham.

Her clothing was in disarray, she had lost a shoe and was bleeding from a cut on her hand.

After getting up shouting and swearing, she lunged at an officer before collapsing again.

She had two previous convictions for being drunk and disorderly.

Kirkham, who denied having a drink problem, said that night she had ended up at a party with a group she did not really know.
