A guest caused a drunken rumpus at the Blackpool Football Club Hotel after drinking shots.

Andrew Whitehead tussled with hotel security officers and was arrested after making threats to police.

I apologise. I was too drunk

Whitehead, 43, of Westcott Road, Liverpool, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly.

He was fined £240 with £85 costs and ordered to pay £24 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates who told him “You caused a substantial disturbance.”

Andrew Robinson, prosecuting, said police were called to the Blackpool Football Club Hotel on February 6 at 7am. Whitehead was at the outside doors and security staff said he had been violent towards them. Whitehead started threatening police.
