A bar worker crashed into a woman’s car on Blackpool Promenade and then fled from the scene.
A woman witness followed Jessica Richie and brought her back to the crash site.
Richie, 24, of Church Road, Thornton, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol.
Pam Smith, prosecuting, said Richie was driving a Ford Focus on the Promenade when she veered into the opposite lane and collided with a Citroen on July 26 at 6.35am.
Richie ran off and the other driver was taken to hospital with chest pain.
A breath test showed 80 microgrammes of alcohol in Richie’s body – 35 is the limit.
When interviewed, Richie said she had gone for drinks with colleagues after she finished work at about 2.45am.
She felt merry, but not drunk. She took a taxi to a friend’s then later got in her own car.
She had little recollection.
Mitch Sarangi, defending, said his client, who had no previous convictions, had not been driving for a long time. She was a personal licence holder for a hostelry in Wyre. Richie was extremely sorry.
She was banned from the road for 20 months, fined £335 with £85 costs and ordered to pay a £150 court charge plus £35 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.
