POLICE seized drugs, cash and a BB gun during a series of raids across Blackpool and Lytham.

Officers raided a property in Queen Street, central Blackpool, where the BB gun was discovered, on Monday.

The following day, warrants were executed in Lytham’s Mythop Avenue and Munster Avenue in Bispham, where suspected cannabis and amphetamine were found, along with £1,000 in cash.

An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs and has been released on bail pending further inquiries.

A raid was also carried out at a property on Alder Grove, Lytham, on Wednesday and a quantity of suspected heroin was seized.

A 47-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and later given a police caution.

Det Sgt Angela Grey, from Blackpool Police, said: “We are committed to targeting those who sell drugs in our towns, whether that be criminals travelling in from outside the area or those who live in Blackpool and Lytham and are intent on bringing misery to their own communities.

“We are reliant on residents helping us to do this by providing us with information if they know, or suspect, that drug dealing is going on in their neighbourhoods and together we can tackle those responsible.”

Anyone with information can call police on 101.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
