Drink drive suspect told cops: 'My steering felt funny'

Traffic officers in St Annes arrested a suspected drink driver in the early hours of this morning - after being told the car's 'steering felt funny'.

The Road Policing Unit posted a picture of a car parked in the middle of the road - with both wheels appearing to point outwards - shortly before 3am, and said on Twitter: "Driver in St Annes complained his steering felt funny.

"Arrested after providing a positive alcohol reading."

The driver is understood to have been taken into custody for a further breath test.
