Police want to speak to this man after a shoplifting offence at the Co-Op, Victoria Road East.

POLICE are appealing for information after a spate of thefts at a convenience store which may have been committed by the same person.

The Co-Op, on Victoria Road East, Cleveleys, was targeted by thieves three times in just five days, with hundreds of pounds of alcohol stolen.

Police have issued a CCTV picture of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the thefts.

The first offence happened on February 18 when two men entered the store and filled a basket with multipack crisps, before hiding alcohol in their clothing and walking off. They stole two bottles of Jack Daniels, three bottles of Sailor Jerrys spiced rum, three bottles of Morgan Spiced, two bottles of Southern Comfort and six packets of Bonjela.

The following day one bottle of Jim Beam, one bottle of Bombay Sapphire, two bottles of Bell’s whisky, and two one litre bottles of Smirnoff.

And the Co-Op was targeted again on February 23 when two one litre bottles of Smirnoff and two bottles of Jim Beam whisky were stolen.

All the thefts occurred in the afternoon and early evening.

Anyone with information should ring police on 101.
