A woman who stole from her mother breached bail by going to her home.

Lesley Burge, 33, of London Road, Layton, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with bail conditions. District Judge Huw Edwards, sitting at Blackpool Magistrates Court, agreed to rebail her.

Alison Quanbrough, prosecuting, said Burge had been bailed to await sentence after she pleaded guilty to stealing from her mother. The conditions of her bail were not to contact her mum.

On July 10 at 8.30pm Burge’s mum was at home when she saw her daughter at the living room window and then the kitchen window.

In a statement Burge’s mother said of her daughter: “ I don’t think she should be punished. Until she gets clean of drugs I don’t want anything to do with her.”

Trevor Colebourne, defending, said mother and daughter had fallen out because Burge was taking drugs. Burge was staying with a friend of her mum’s but couldn’t get in and went to her mum’s home for a key.
