A husband grabbed his wife by the throat and threw her onto the bed.
Stephen Nightingale, a 32-year-old father-of-one, of Lomond Avenue, Marton, pleaded guilty to assaulting wife.
He was bailed for pre-sentence reports by District Judge Alexandra Simmonds sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.
Prosecutor, Pam Smith, said Nightingale grabbed his wife as she was trying to leave the bedroom, threw her on the bed and verbally abused her on October 10.
Suzanne Mugford, defending, said her client had no previous convictions and no previous history of domestic violence.
The couple were not now living together. After the offence Nightingale had enrolled on an anger management course.
