A man reacted angrily when he was told by his ex-partner that he would not see his baby son again, a magistrates’ court has been told.

Dean Baker, 21, of Draycot Avenue, Blackpool, admitted criminal damage and he was given a conditional discharge for 12 months by the court.

Pam Smith, prosecuting before Blackpool magistrates, said the couple had split up but Baker wanted to see his son and turned up at her address in Poulton.

But she would not let him take the baby out as the child was ill.

When she closed the front door he put his fist through one of the double glazed units.

Baker told magistrates: “Her telling me I would not see my son again made me angry.”
