Conman breached order to sell fake booze
Nicholas Stewart was put on an Anti Social Behaviour Order (ASBO) after offering holidaymakers on Blackpool’s Golden Mile bottles of whisky at knockdown prices, which turned out to be a mixture of bodily fluids such as urine and human waste plus water.
Stewart, 36, of Foxdale Avenue, Layton, appeared in court yesterday and pleaded guilty to breaching his ASBO by offering a purported bottle of whisky and bottle of vodka for sale to a member of the public.

The court was told Stewart smashed the bottles he had for sale when confronted by police, but tests showed they had been opened and resealed with electrical tape.
Stewart said he tried to sell the fake alcohol because his benefits had been delayed.
Prosecutor, Martine Connah, said in February this year Stewart had been made the subject of a 12 months ASBO, partly because of his history of selling fake alcohol to the public. The order banned him from trying to sell goods to people.

When confronted by police he smashed the bottles. Interviewed by police he said the bottles had contained just water. The court was told Stewart could not work due to his drug problems.
