A head chef threw his girlfriend out of their hotel bedroom on to the landing after an argument during a holiday break in Blackpool, a magistrates’ court was told.
Neal Eade, 44, of The Crewe Arms Hotel, Crewe, pleaded guilty to assault and causing damage before magistrates in Blackpool.
He was bailed to May 14 for a hearing when evidence from both prosecution and defence will be heard.
District Judge Jeff Brailsford, sitting at the court, told the defendant he must live at his given address and not contact the complainant or enter the Stone area in Staffordshire as conditions of his bail.
Eddie Harrison, prosecuting, said the couple were staying at the South Beach Hotel, South Promenade, on April 30 this year.
Eade took exception when his girlfriend’s sister sent her a text and there was an argument.
He threw the phone against the wall causing it to smash, the court was told.
Eade then threw his girlfriend out of the room.
He slapped her in the face and kicked her while she was on the floor, Mr Harrison told the court.
Peter Manning, defending, said his client admitted grabbing his girlfriend by her clothes at the collar and ejecting her from the bedroom.
But he denied hitting or kicking her, Mr Manning told the court.
