A CHEF assaulted three police officers by biting or kicking them.

Nathan Edwards bit a woman PC on the buttocks, sank his teeth into a male PC’s forearm and kicked a policeman three times.

Edwards, 20, of Singleton Court, Chapel Street, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to three offences of assault on police.

He was sentenced to 12 months supervision, ordered to pay his victims £50 compensation each and £85 costs by Blackpool magistrates.

The incident took place on April 29 in Park Road when Edwards was with a woman who hit a 57-year-old man.

Police arrived and Edwards and the woman became aggressive.

Michael Woosnam, defending, said Edwards accepted his behaviour was inexcusable.

He was sentenced to 12 months supervision, ordered to pay his victims £50 compensation each and £85 costs.
