Two Blackpool men accused of being involved in an incident in which a man’s cheekbone was fractured have made their first appearance in court.

Andrew Ousey, 29, of Shannon Street, and Aaron Hayden, 35, of Park Road, are each accused of affray.

Ousey is also charged with maliciously wounding the man, with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm.

The offences are alleged to have taken place at a flat in the resort’s Park Road on July 9.

Alison Quanbrough, prosecuting, asked for the case to be heard at crown court.

Defence lawyers did not ask for bail for their clients.

The defendants were remanded in custody to appear at Preston Crown Court on July 30 by District Judge Huw Edwards, sitting at Blackpool Magistrates Court.
