A knife-wielding robber stormed into a Blackpool off-licence and threatened a female member of staff.

Detectives are hunting the man, who stole six scratch cards worth £1 each, and a charity collection tin from the Burlingtons Booze and Food store on Lytham Road.

A male offender has entered the off-licence with a kitchen knife and threatened a female member of staff

The raider burst in at around 5.50pm on Sunday armed with a kitchen knife and demanded cash.

A Lancashire Police spokesman confirmed an investigation is underway.

He added: “A male offender has entered the off-licence with a kitchen knife and threatened a female member of staff.”

The store manager did not wish to comment when contacted yesterday.
