A man and woman are being hunted by police after new footage was released following clashes between rival supporters during Blackpool FC’s Capital One Cup clash at Preston North End two months ago.
Hundreds of Preston North End fans rushed on to the Deepdale pitch following their side’s 1-0 victory over Paul Ince’s men on August 5.
Police today released images of two Preston North End fans they want to speak to following the disorder.
CCTV footage shows a woman wearing shorts gesticulating and goading Pool fans in the Bill Shankly Kop while an image has been released of a shirtless man also goading Pool fans.
To date, 15 people have been arrested for various offences and are currently on bail, while six people have been charged with a number of offences relating to the disorder.
Six other people have been interviewed at Preston Police station.
Det Insp Paddy O’Neill, from Preston Police, who is leading the investigation said: “Over the past couple of months we have been studying CCTV footage from various sources, and interviewing witnesses and suspects. We need the public’s help to identify this pair as this will conclude this particular phase of the investigation.”
“If anybody recognises either of these people I would ask them to contact police.”
