A care worker grabbed his ex partner’s jaw and spat full in her face while she was holding their 14-month-old son in her arms.
Craig O’Neill lost his temper and even repeatedly stabbed the kitchen wall with a knife after seeing a text from another man on his ex’s phone.
After being arrested O’Neill told police: “When you let me go, I’ll go back to the house and do them all in.”
O’Neill, 23, of Park Road, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to assault and causing damage before magistrates.
He was bailed for pre-sentence reports with all options including custody to be considered by Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.
Pam Smith, prosecuting, said O’Neill went to visit his ex and saw a text on her phone from another man around 6.30pm on October 22.
He told her: “I thought you loved me” and she replied “no.”
He then spat in her face as she held the 14-month-old baby.
She heard noises and went into the kitchen to see stab marks in the wall near the sink.
A knife was nearby, she added.
She fled with the baby in a pram and became hysterical when O’Neill chased after her demanding the child.
Steven Townley, defending, asked for reports on O’Neill.
