A £60,000 a year call centre manager who lives in the Philippines came back to Britain for a neck operation – and groped a young woman in his home town of Blackpool.
Tony Moore, 53, was recovering from surgery when he went out drinking with friends.
During the evening he went to Rumours bar, in Blackpool, and there he groped her leg.
And when his victim’s friend complained about it, Moore turned on her, carrying out a sustained attack on her using his fists.
Moore, of Devonshire Road, Blackpool- who will be returning to his other home on the islands soon- was given a six month jail sentence suspended for two years by Deputy District Judge James Hatton sitting at the town’s magistrates court.
He was also placed on the Sex Offenders Register and ordered to pay his two victims £300 each compensation and £165 costs and victims’ surcharge.
The judge told him:”This was a serious and unpleasant incident for two young women on a night out.
“This was terrible behaviour for a person who holds himself out to be a family man. The friend of the first victim was the subject of a disgraceful and sustained attack during which you rained punches on her.”
Moore admitted the sex assault and assault.
Jessica Partington, defending, said Moore had injured his neck in an accident in a triathalon.
He had come back to the UK for a serious operation on his neck.
“He had gone on a night out and thinks his behaviour may have been affected by painkillers he was on,” she said.
“He wishes to apologise.”
