A cabaret singer crashed head-on into a woman’s car shunting it backwards and sending it spinning round.
The woman, who was taken to hospital, said she looked to see what Max Fox was doing when his car was heading straight for her’s, but she could only see his hair.
Fox, 25, of Levine Avenue, Marton, pleaded guilty to driving without care and attention.
He was fined £265 with £85 costs plus £26 victims’ surcharge and had five motoring penalty points put on his licence by Blackpool magistrates.
Alison Quanbrough, prosecuting, said a woman was driving along Broadway, Cleveleys, intending to turn right when she saw Fox’s Renault Megane heading straight for her on August 16 at 10am.
The prosecutor added: “She looked to see what he was doing, but she could only see his hair. He then hit her head-on.”
Michael Leach, defending, said: “It was a misjudgement on his part.
“It was a straight road and for some reason he collided with the other car.
“He has no recollection of it.”
Fox had admitted drinking the night before, but he was tested for alcohol at the accident scene and was not over the limit.
