A burglar seen climbing on to a roof was found inside a social club by police and exclaimed: “Caught redhanded,” to officers.
Duncan Welsh, who had broken into Little Fat Jacks through a skylight, had also burgled a nearby takeaway, a court heard.
Welsh, 27, of Talbot Road, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to two burglaries and one offence of handing stolen goods.
He was bailed for pre-sentence reports with all options including custody to be considered by Blackpool magistrates.
Alison Quanbrough, prosecuting, said a witness saw Welsh on the roof of Little Fat Jacks on George Street, Blackpool, on July 23.
Police found Welsh inside with a rucksack and two bottles of pop which had been taken from Truffles Restaurant, Topping Street.
Inside the rucksack was an iPod Touch valued at £275 which Welsh had taken when he burgled the Port Royal Jamaican takeaway, in Church Street.
Imran Majid, defending, said his client had drug issues and asked for a report on him.
