Builder faces unlawful sex charge

Blackpool Magistrates Court

Blackpool Magistrates Court

A MAN accused of having sex with a 15-year-old girl has made his first appearance in court.

Builder Mark Woods is accused of unlawfully having sex with the teenage girl.

The offence allegedly occurred in St Annes between November 29 and December 2 last year.

The 32-year-old, of Forshaw Avenue, St Annes, is also accused of two offences of attempting to supply the drug ‘bubble’ to the same teenager.

At Blackpool Magistrates’ Court yesterday Trevor Colebourne, defending, said his client would not enter a plea to the charges he faces at this stage.

Tracy Yates, prosecuting, asked for the case to be heard at the crown court.

Woods was bailed by magistrates to appear at Preston Crown Court on April 11.

As conditions of his bail he must live at an address in Newlands Park, Dearham, Cumbria, and is not allowed to have unsupervised contact with children under 16, except his son.
