PASSENGERS were left shocked and upset after a violent brawl on a late night train.
Violence flared after two groups of men confronted each other on a Saturday night service from Poulton to Preston.
And now British Transport Police are appealing for the public’s help to identify those involved in the brawl.
The incident happened at 11.20pm on April 14, and Det Sgt Glenn Lee said: “This was quite a violent flare up in which several people sustained minor injuries.
“The violence was carried out in front of other passengers and rail staff, many of who were left shaken by the behaviour of the men.
“I’m now calling on members of the public and passengers to help with the investigation. We need anyone with information about the incident to come forward and contact police.
“We simply will not tolerate any violent or anti-social behaviour on the railway and will take all reasonable steps to locate and prosecute offenders.”
Trains on the line also call at Layton and Kirkham and Wesham en-route to Preston.
Anyone with information call British Transport Police on 0800 405040.
